    UMFAST DAY#23

James 4: 13-15 And now I have a word for you who brashly announce, “Today—at the latest, tomorrow—we’re off to such and such a city for the year. We’re going to start a business and make a lot of money.” You don’t know the first thing about tomorrow. You’re nothing but a wisp of fog, catching a brief bit of sun before disappearing. Instead, make it a habit to say, “If the Master wills it and we’re still alive, we’ll do this or that.””
    ‭‭

We are learning sis and what a teacher 2020 has already been! If we pay attention and silence the distractions, we will learn more this year than in previous years combined. Pretty much the only thing that has remained constant so far, is that everything is subject to change. I actually feel like we have a pretty good grasp on this passage of scripture, because of the unprecedented times we are in. The other day i actually saw a coffee mug that said “i miss precedented times.” Wouldn’t it be nice to wake up to a big hot cup of that? 😂 ☕️ When we live in light of eternity, then we live with the understanding that this world is NOT our home, we are only passing through. This season has made me more homesick for heaven than ever before. But WHILE WE ARE HERE, let’s live each day like it’s our last. Let’s lay up treasures in heavenly places. Let us approach each morning with a gratefulness for new mercy, and each night thankful for the day we were given. Let’s make a difference with the time we have! I’m so thankful to be alive at the same time in history as you!

    Consecration: To-Do List

I am definitely a list person, are you? I have to be a list person, because I am literally 50 percent procrastinator and 50 percent spontaneous, so planning is NOT my strong suit. Therefore, i make the lists. Sometimes, lists are good, especially on days where productivity is an absolute must. Other times, i feel like i just went through my day and crossed off my list. And as productive as I might feel at the end of a day with all the boxes checked, I realize i wasn’t very present. Like, I spent my day completing a task, only to get to the next one. Ok, you know you are extra if you add things to the list that you already completed just so you can mark it off 👀🤪. Today, if you are like me at all, let’s consecrate our to-do list. Let’s focus more today on embracing the moment, looking people in the eyes, hugging (if you are doing that right now 😉) a little longer, and definitely make time to sit at the feet of Jesus. It’s going to be a beautiful day. Make it one!
