ICYMI | Spontaneous Worship With Lisa Brunson

Psalms 138:1-3 MSG  Thank you!  Everything in me says thank you!  Angels listen as i sing my thanks.  I kneel in worship facing your holy temple and say it again: “thank you!”  Thank you for your love, thank you for your faithfulness; most holy is your name, most holy is your Word.  The moment i called out, you stepped in; you made my life large with strength.

    I love the Psalms.

Sometimes when i read them i feel like the writer took the words right out of my mouth.  I love to worship.  Worship is much more than what we have boxed it in to be, but for the purpose of expression, lets just say when referring to Worship in this post it will be what would first come to our mind.  A song, in a set, planned or not planned, by us humans who desperately adore our King and want other people to experience Him in as magnificent a way as we have.

The Unbecoming Launch weekend was full of explosive moments in “worship.”  The spirit of unity was largely one of the contributing factors, the hunger, the expectation…for one weekend 300 ladies from so many places became one voice.  That voice set the atmosphere for healing, empowerment, mending, deliverance, and restoration.

All of my life growing up, when we sang together my sister always played the piano for us.  This was a beautiful role reversal time for the both of us.  My sister at the lead,  walked us powerfully through the tabernacle and gently behind the proverbial veil.  Although she is a straight BEAST, it is the “worship” going forth from the congregation that i want you to hear.

    This is it y’all.

This is what we have planned right out of our services and people desperately long for.  We need times like this to be the new normal.  When my friend Beth captured this moment so beautifully and sent it to me, i was in tears and the way this video clip took me right into the holy place.  I hope it does more than bless you.  Let it remind us that nothing is a substitute for presence.

    Xoxo,

    Steph
